35 years. 35 hours. One incredible cause.
This year marks 35 years of Hayman-Joyce, since we were founded in 1991, and we wanted to celebrate the milestone by giving something back. From 7am on Thursday 24 September to 6pm on Friday 25 September, the Hayman-Joyce team, along with a few brave friends of the business, are taking on our biggest fundraising challenge yet. We’re calling it Project 35: 35 hours on the bikes, back to back, right outside our Moreton-in-Marsh office.
We’ll be riding in relay across two bikes. HJ1 will be pedalled by the Hayman-Joyce team only, non-stop for the full 35 hours. The second static bike is available for press, celebrities, guests, friends, and clients to hop on, with timeslots bookable at haymanjoyce.co.uk/project-35. Make a donation and you can guess the total mileage we cover on HJ1, for a chance to win a magnum of Hayman-Joyce champagne. It won’t be easy, but it’s for a cause that makes every hour worth it.
We’re raising money for The Grand Appeal, the charity behind Bristol Children’s Hospital. It’s a cause close to home for a number of us. Several families within the Hayman-Joyce team have been supported by Bristol Children’s Hospital themselves, and this challenge is our way of giving something back.
The Grand Appeal funds research, equipment and support that make a real difference to seriously ill children and their families, work we’re proud to get behind.
Tom Hayman-Joyce, Partner, said:“Hayman-Joyce turns 35 this year, and we wanted to mark that by doing something that actually makes a difference, not just talking about it. The Grand Appeal is a cause close to home for a lot of us, several of our own families have relied on Bristol Children’s Hospital over the years, so taking on 35 hours in the saddle felt like the right way to say thank you.”
We’re hoping to raise at least £3,500. We’d love for you to be part of it. Come and find us outside the office between 7am on 24 September and 6pm on 25 September, cheer the team on and see the challenge in action. Places to ride our second bike HJ2 can be booked in advance, so if you’d like to jump on, please reserve a slot at haymanjoyce.co.uk/project-35. If you can’t make it in person, you can still help by donating whatever you’re able to.
Every bit of support, whether that’s a donation, a shout of encouragement, or simply sharing this post, brings us closer to making a real difference for the children and families The Grand Appeal supports.
The Grand Appeal, registered charity number 1043603, is the charity for Bristol Children’s Hospital.
