Hayman-Joyce Gets Stuck In at the Cherington & Stourton Show

Supporting the villages and communities we work in is something we take seriously at Hayman-Joyce, and this summer that meant rolling up our sleeves for the Cherington & Stourton Show.

A Full Day of Volunteering

Sue Maaz from our team spent the day helping set up, run and take down this year’s show. Working alongside her teammate Jane, Sue took charge of the produce, flowers, jams, homemade wine, art and craft, and photography entries – a full and varied part of the show that draws entries from across the local community.

The role covered everything from setting up the hall and organising the judges, to awarding the prizes and polishing every cup ready for its new winner. It’s the kind of behind-the-scenes work that keeps a show like this running smoothly, and it made for a demanding but genuinely rewarding day.

Sponsoring the Raffle

As well as lending a hand on the day, Hayman-Joyce donated a magnum of champagne for the show raffle, and we were proud to be mentioned as a sponsor.

Shows like Cherington & Stourton are a highlight of the local calendar, bringing neighbours and villages together to celebrate everything from prize-winning marrows to local photography talent. Being part of that, both on the ground and behind the scenes, is exactly the kind of community involvement we value.

Proud to Support Local Events

The team at Hayman-Joyce believe that being a good local estate agent means being part of the community, not just working in it. Volunteering at events like the Cherington & Stourton Show is one small way we can give something back to the villages we’re proud to call home.
