Welcoming new talent into the property industry is always a pleasure. Recently the team had the opportunity to host Gracie for her work experience. Spending time within a busy estate agency environment gave her a valuable introduction to how the property market operates day to day. In addition, work expereince also offered a behind-the-scenes look at the care and attention that goes into supporting our clients.
Estate agent work experience in the Cotswolds
Throughout her placement, Gracie gained a clear understanding of estate agent work experience. She worked across both our sales and lettings departments. In turn, learning how properties are marketed, how viewings are managed and how relationships with buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants are built and maintained. Time spent with different members of the team helped demonstrate how each role contributes to delivering a customer-focused, professional service.
Day-to-day
From preparing property details to observing client interactions, the experience provided a well-rounded overview of the skills required to succeed within the industry. Gracie’s week included learning about successful communication, organisation and strong local knowledge. Working within the Cotswolds property market also highlighted the importance of understanding the unique character of the area. In turn, how this shapes marketing strategies and buyer interest.
Taking part in estate agent work experience offered Gracie a valuable step into the industry. Opportunities like this help support the next generation by providing insight and practical knowledge. It was a pleasure to have Gracie as part of the team and we hope her work experience has provided a strong foundation for her future.

The positive atmosphere in the office, accompanied by the welcoming and supportive team, made my experience very enjoyable and informative. Throughout the week, I learnt all about how estate agents communicate with clients professionally, how to use the computer system, how to manage and sell a variety of properties and gained a deep insight into this career. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hayman-Joyce and particularly found viewing properties in the famous HJ1 and HJ2 Land Rovers a highlight of my experience.”
