I absolutely love the Cotswolds and everything it offers. I feel privileged to live and work in such a beautiful place with such wonderful people. Our team at Hayman-Joyce is exceptional. My primary focus is to build and further develop the team, to ensure we have all the support, training and tools to deliver a truly unprecedented service.
Our foundations are built on transparency, integrity and always doing the right thing, even if it’s to our detriment. Understanding these core values sets us apart and breeds our success.
I’m proud of the team, our “Five-star” Google review rating and continuing to win leading industry awards.
I’ve spent most of my life in the Cotswolds – my first five years in Milton-under-Wychwood before moving to Barton-on-the-Heath in the mid-eighties.
I went to school at Kitebrook, then Winchester House, followed by Bloxham, took a gap year to Australia before reading Geography at Exeter University.
After graduating with a Batchelor of Science degree, and a spell at Hayman-Joyce, I moved to London joining Winkworth in their Westminster and Pimlico branch. Armed with a telephone and an “applicant box”, I rapidly learnt to build relationships and achieve sales in a predominantly commission led environment. Qualifying as a member of Propertymark National Association of Estate Agents and consistently being top negotiator by exceeding ambitious targets in the office, were my highlights.
Wanting to broaden my experience, I moved to Savills in their Richmond-upon-Thames office. Firstly, building the Savills’ core market (properties selling between £500,000 and £1,250,000) and then taking on and selling property across all price ranges.
Seven years later, in 2009 James (my father) asked me to return to Hayman-Joyce. I was delighted and honoured and moved back to the Cotswolds with my fiancée, Amy.
Four years later I bought the business from James and focussed on building on the very firm foundations he had set. We look after residential sales, residential lettings, commercial, equestrian, auctions and professional valuation.
Outside work I’m never happier than spending time with my wife Amy and daughters Beatrice and Edith. We live in Cold Aston and enjoy the wonderful family life the Cotswolds offers. My hobbies include motorsport (I’ve raced since 2005), mountain biking, squash, skiing, supporting the girls with their pony riding and countryside walks with our Border Terrier Maud.
I’m a trustee and former Chair of Moreton Show Society which runs the largest one-day agricultural show in the country. The society is the cornerstone of the Cotswolds and all it stands for. Its purpose as a registered charity is to inform, educate and promote farming and the countryside with focus on sustainability, conservation, and environmental issues.
